A non-profit organization, Children Unlimited, Inc. is the award-winning early-intervention services provider and special needs preschool for the Mt. Washington Valley. Serving local families for the past twenty years, CUI has been recognized by the United States Congress as a leader in rural childcare programs in the country. This past year, DCYF awarded Children Unlimited, Inc. the Exemplary Leadership and Service Award for outstanding work with foster families in New Hampshire.
CUI currently serves nearly 300 families a year in Carroll County, NH and Oxford County, ME. Our programs include Early Intervention, Childcare, Preschool and Kinderkamp. The services include Developmental Evaluations; Therapy (speech/language, physical, and occupational); Autism Spectrum Disorders; Family Connections (fussy baby assessments and consultations), Families Unlimited (family support, parent mentoring and counseling) and Consultation Services.
Our staff is dedicated to the notion that a child diagnosed with brain cancer, or autism spectrum disorder, or spina bifida, or Down Syndrome is first and foremost a child and the most important thing that any child can do is learn about the world around her through play and positive social interactions. Deaf children need to learn sign language; children suffering from post traumatic stress disorder need to learn to trust; children with only one leg need to learn to stand up. But each of them also needs to experience the joy of accomplishment, the warm embrace of friendship, and the safety of knowing that they are loved.

Starting over the holiday weekend, NHPR began airing recently recorded nonprofit radio spots, along with a selection of archived nonprofit feature spots. The spots can be heard on New Hampshire Public Radio at: 88.3 Nashua, 89.1 Concord, 90.3 Nashua, 90.7 Keene, 91.3 Littleton, 91.3 Hanover, 97.3 Plymouth, 99.5 Jackson, 103.9 Portsmouth, 104.3 Dover, and 107.1 Gorham.
